POSITION SUMMARY

The Accountant is responsible for accounting for inventory, fix asset. She/he provides an up-to-date and correct accounting record in accordance with IFRS, Vietnam Accounting System (VAS) and Vietnam Tax Law Regulation Requirements. Ensure the related taxes are correct and complied with statutory and governing law.

The Accountant supports the Finance & Accounting Manager in other related finance and accounting works such as reporting to stake-holders, joining in annual statutory audits and tax audits.

PRimary responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:

• Book keeping and inventory control
• Initial record and update Fixed Asset Register, maintain the Fix Asset Register recorded accuracy and timely.
• Assist in opening LC for importing coal.
• Assist in preparing monthly report to stake holder such as lenders, shareholders…
• Assist in documentation filing, controlling for Finance-Accounting Division

Month-end and Quarter-end work:

• Prepares month end closing entries: depreciation, fuel cost and other cost related to inventory under selected accounting method, allocation of prepayment, accrual of expenses, evaluate foreign currency balance…
• Assist in preparing monthly report to stake holder such as lenders, shareholders…
• Working with Site team for inventory management and fixed asset management including physical count of inventory and fixed asset as requirement from the Management

Yearly work

• Assist in preparing annual group package report and sends to Sponsors
• Assist in other works assigned by FA Manager
• Coordinates in doing the physical count of fix asset and inventory.
• Coordinates with external auditor to prepare audited financial reports

Ad hoc

• Support Finance & Accounting Manager in annual statutory audits and tax audits
• Other finance and accounting work

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, on progress of obtaining ACCA or CPA Vietnam (preferable).
• At least three years working experience in relevant field in international organizations or foreign-owned companies
• Possesses excellent communications skills in English (both written and verbal as Conversational business level and able to communicate using basic vocabularies) and be computer literate
• Good interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skill and ability to work under high pressure with multi talks.
